Politarium
The Politarium is the political center of Saltor, where discussions are held and decisions are made. Influential people of all sorts get a word under this dome, as it is in nobody's interest to accidentally make a powerful enemy.
Alterations
The Politarium, originally built in 180 BC, was destroyed in 160 BC when Saltor was attacked by an army of dragons as part of the Dragon Invasion of Ekura. It was rebuilt in 115 BC, after the 1st industrial revolution, using more reinforced materials and adding magical reinforcement.
Architecture
The Politarium is a glass dome with metal reinforcements. It measures 295 m in diameter and 140 m in height, and rests upon 43 separate towers of Saltor's Tower-District in a height of 500 m above ground. Its floor is made from steel and slate stone.
The interior of the Politarium is sectioned into five floors, each of which requires its own Badge of Passage to access:
- The public speech section, where professionals on a daily changing political topic give educated informational speeches
- The dispute- and contract-section, where representatives of powerful groups as well as powerful individuals hold heated discussions and make contracts in front of witnesses
- Three floors of rest- and living-section, where regular guests of the politarium can take a break, get some snacks, or even reserve one of the 4'500 sleeping chambers.
