Windham Parapets

The Windham Parapets are one of the three Shrines of the Spirit in the Citadel of the Wild, nondenominational holy places each dedicated to an expression of one Elvish element (in this case, embodying gwyar). The Parapets are a catwalk that wends around the northern region of the citadel, beginning along the central courtyard and spiraling outwards to the water wheel that turns in the Ilduinë River just outside the Citadel's walls. Most of the guard rails on the walkways are either low or absent entirely, giving a precarious feel to the path. Every so often, small niches jut out from the walkway, lined with a semi-circle of low stone benches. These are common spots for prayer and meditation, or for small gatherings of priests or nuns to meet and discuss holy matters. Lebëmya Raïanos te-Morigana is a common sight along the Windham Paraphets, particularly during evening and nighttime prayers.
