Threestone
Threestone is a dice game played in the casinos of the Aquatic Kingdoms by tables of four to six players plus one tablemaster. Each player puts in the table's minimum and is given three stone dice: an eight-sided die, a six-sided die, and a four-sided die. The tablemaster also has one of each, as well as a pair of ten-sided die.
The game is played in three betting rounds. In the first round, all players roll their eight-sided dice, keeping the results a secret by hiding it under a cup. The tablemaster rolls their eight-sided die openly, and each player has a chance to call, raise, or fold their bet. This repeats in the second round with the six-sided die, and in the third round with the four-sided die.
The person with the highest cumulative total at the end wins ninety percent of the pot. If the tablemaster wins, the casino keeps the entire pot. In the event of a tie, the pot is split.
If a player's total score is within five or less of the tablemaster or the winner(s), they may triple their bet and call for a bonus round. In the bonus, the challenger and the winner both roll a ten-sided die and add it to their total, changing the ending score.
Threestone can be played informally, without a tablemaster and with the pot simply split between the players; however, the variant with the tablemaster is the norm in formal casinos, to discourage cheating. Many large casinos only allow their own dice and dice cups to be used in threestone to further discourage any sleight-of-hand or weighted dice.
