Quantarella

Quantarella is a beverage common in the subterranean and semi-subterranean cities of the Aquatic Kingdoms, such as Dancamort and the lower cave towns of Filia. It is made from the quantarel mushrooms that commonly grow in caves. The mushrooms are steamed, diced, and strained, so that only a smooth beige liquid remains. It is then sweetened and flavored, usually with sea beet extract and turmeric, bottled, and stored in cool cellars. It is typically served chilled, directly from these bottles, though it can also be heated in a kettle or mixed with hot tea. It has a mild, earthy, slightly tangy taste that is often compared to apricots.
