Exulthinor, Lord of Ruination

Exulthinor, Lord of Ruination is a prominent Death Knight. He was a Paladin of Gilgamesh in the Age of Anxiety, protecting a fortress and surrounding town in what was once Dovria. However, when a flood destroyed the peasants of the village, Exulthinor broke his oath to the crown and decapitated the Count who resided in the fort in front of his entire court, before proceeding to slay every noble who did not escape in time. The onslaught of arrows from the fortress guards should have been enough to take his life, but he continued his rampage until everyone remaining in the fortress was dead. The dark force that animated him from beyond the grave is unknown, but he has continued to appear and reappear in history, a powerful death knight dedicated to the total destruction of all he surveys.
Exulthinor, Lord of Ruination was a recurring villain in the Copper Novel The Knights of Val-Nurem. First-hand accounts of the Knights do not specify the identities of the death knight battalions they faced, so this may be embellishment on the part of the authors, though the descriptions, timeline, and general territory all make Exulthinor a likely member, if not leader, of the foes in question.
