Countess Rosina's Rules for Feywild Etiquette
1. Follow all rules stated in the invitation, written or spoken. You are obligated to RSVP appropriately and in a timely manner; an ignored invitation or a no-show is tantamount to a declaration of enmity.
2. Choose and use appropriate modes of address. Prefix, initials, and place of residence are considered adequate for mortals. Address archfey as you would royalty (with whom you do not wish to start an international incident).
3. Dress according to the occasion. If wearing flowers, jewelry, or insignia, be mindful that its meaning should not offend your hosts. Under no circumstances should one appear to be armored or armed.
4. Bring a gift of appropriate value: a memory, a service, a future favor, or something else of the mortal realm the fey cannot get.
5. Keep the conversation flowing. Answer all questions asked of you truthfully, though polite admission is acceptable where necessary. A well-mannered host will do the same. (Do not press matters of politics or religion, of course.)
6. Never be the first nor last to enter a space or rise from a table. Do not take the first of the food or drink from a tray, nor the last of it—even when offered. If pressed, suggest sharing.
7. A guest who breaks any of these rules, or speaks ill of the host within their domain, will invariably find themselves cursed after the event. These curses cannot be negated except by direct apology to and negotiation with the host. Such curses are best avoided in the first place.
