“CHAMPAGNE KILLER” GUILLOTINED AFTER SHOCKING CONFESSION

FINAL WORDS A WARNING, "CULTISTS DESERVED IT... KEEP WATCH"

CROWN SQUARE, Adamant, County Seudwarth, Kingdom of Dreibach: Gepopo, the "Champagne Killer," was beheaded by the royal executioners Tuesday morning after issuing an ominous warning from the execution stand.   Ms. Gepopo (no last name or locale of origin known or provided) pled guilty to the murder of 47-year-old half-elf Charmaine Acosta. Acosta, a preacher and local activist known for his radical support for the god Set, died Saturday after a banquet at the Duke's palace where he met with royal advisors and fellow members of the new Osirian movement led by Sarastro.   The condemned, a 255-year-old elf, confessed to the murder upon being told that the Duke's personal diviners had arrived on the scene to detect the poison’s origin. Witnesses on the scene could not identify Gepopo, but she detailed the methods of execution so clearly and accurately—including her elaborate disguise as a member of the Sarastran Guard—that crown investigators decided to charge and sentence her without further investigation.   According to the official scribes of the Crown, the last words of the condemned were as follows: “You’re welcome, you [expletive]-eating peasants. You’re all [expletive] welcome. Those [expletive] cultists deserved it, and their [expletive] so-called religion is a danger to the whole [expletive] kingdom. Build walls. Keep watch. There’s some awful [multiple expletives] coming from the north, and I bought you ungrateful little sons of [expletive] enough time to prepare for it. I don’t regret a single [expletive] thing I did. Lou: whatever happens next, know that I love you. I don’t regret it. Not for a [expletive] second.”   At this time, sources cannot verify any of the apparent warnings in the last words of the condemned.    The other suspect in Acosta's killing—Ms. Lucretia Britt, 258, an elven wizard from Cantonova also present at the scene—was acquitted of all charges.
