Conference of the Awakened

A race only recently brought into the fold of interstellar travel, the Awakened are a race comprised of two former races inhabiting the same planet. Once at war with each other, the two races accidentally opened a Pandora Box after a cataclysmic battle. The secret within was an awakening of innate psychic powers from within both races’ genes. The corresponding gene manipulation and subsequent ability to share thoughts and emotions telepathically led to both races merging into one, though both former races are expressed almost equally in the population.
