Session 2
General Summary
The Advenae awoke their second morning in Syntralia to the sound of volcanic eruption and earthquakes. Hot ash, soot and salt felt from the sky, coating the city. The party begin their search for the lost apprentice Cedric Darkdraft, after finding it incredibly suspicious that he did not show up for work for over a week. After investigating the town, it was discovered by Warren Grimwal that his apartment was left unlocked with no trace of him left behind other than a note explaining the detailed care instructions of his two beloved pet salamanders and a warning not to follow him. The pets were clearly given extra food and the apartment was left in pristine condition. Rail Hempshire was able to get the scent of the missing asimaar for future use. Sausage McMuffin handled the two salamanders and discovered one had a wounded leg. Mac'Velly was able to determine by speaking to the creature that it hurt its leg by falling off the table. The salamander also disclosed that he did not know where Cedric went, other than that he had said "I'm sorry" before he left.
Medzire Duskwood and Sausage took the lizard to Dahlia, the town healer to mend its wounds. Nail Waterside was able to learn more information about The Blight that erupted from Godsbane Summit, discovering that the eruptions were becoming longer and more frequent. Mac'velly learned from Maddie that many people thought the city was being punished for it's crimes against their own citizens, or maybe because they angered their old gods.
Midway through the day, flaming projectiles landed in the city, sparking a skirmish on the outskirts with a band of followers of God-King Azhda'Zarr. The citizens of Syntralia banded together in battle to defeat the bandits, slaying one of the great warriors, along with two of the spies. One of the spies was incapacitated and is currently being held prisoner in the Census building with Wiqwah
