Aln and Mala are conjoined twins. It was expected that Aln would be named High Chaote, while while Mala became High Artist, but Mala declined her offer, conceeding to High Muse Brendan LeDeur .

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Aln and Kayln are joined at the abdomen and pelvis, sharing many of their lower extremities including legs. They have entirely separate heads and sets of arms. Due to their conjoined nature, some of their anatomy is a little malformed, but nothing that prevents everyday activities, including dancing. They are in good physical condition from many energetic performances.

Physical quirks

Aln is right-handed, Mala is left-handed.

Apparel & Accessories

The twins design and make many of their own clothes and have a flair for fashion that reflects their chaotic tastes, combining clashing colors, textures, and patterns in a walking example of sensory overload. Aln likes her clothing a little more conventional, allowing her to gesticulate freely, while Mala's clothing often has almost sculptural elements to it.

Employment

Previous to becoming High Chaotes (and sporadically in their small amounts of free time), Aln and Kayln were well-known singers who put out several albums both together and separately.

Intellectual Characteristics

Both are deeply talented singers with excellent musical sense, although Mala prefers more structured forms and Aln delights in more freeform, experimental music.

Morality & Philosophy

Aln wholeheartedly embraces Chaos and leaves much of her daily life up to random chance. She avoids what she views as a common pitfall for most followers of the Laughing One in which they follow their own whims almost exclusively. She believes that while that seems like chaos, it's unlikely to push the follower outside of their own comfort zone. Instead, she sources her plans from the world at large, often consulting the temple cockatoos which pick up tidbits of conversations from all over the world.
Mala often goes along with these plans, but is more careful that they are truly feasable and don't interfere too heavily with their duties as High Chaotes. She's the powerhouse behind their public faces, determining when they need to be a butterfly flapping her wings and when they need to be the hurricane.

Taboos

The twins rarely refer to themselves with the collective "we" or "our", preferring to specify both of their names instead ("Aln and I") unless it is absolutely necessary. Maintaining their individuality is important. In this same vein, if someone is referring to the twins, saying "She is making an appearance in Cen" would be incredibly rude. The proper sentence would be something along the lines of "The High Chaotes/ The twins/ The girls are making an appearance in Cen".
