Like a chipmunk crossed with a whale.

Feeds on tiny creatures in the sand much like a baleen whale feeds on krill.

Domestication

Only one group of people, native to the area where the burrower leviathans lives, even have stories of people attempting to domesticate the creatures. They are very short, and boil down to "it went poorly. So poorly that we don't try that any more."

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Meat is edible and plentiful, furs/leather are massive and thick, bones are large enough to be used as tent supports. Most items made from burrower leviathans were scavenged to begin with and passed down through generations, still tough and sturdy.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Limited to the heart of the desert.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Hearing and eyesight very poor, senses are mostly touch and vibration-based.
