Fortford (Fordfort)

The Fortford or Fordfort is a stronghold in the Cape Cowrie region of northeast Rubicos. Constructed beside a sturdy dwarven bridge that crosses the Drinkwater, Fortford (or Fordfort, depending on who you ask) is less a settlement and more a fortress. Half dwarven masonry – the bridge and foundations – and half halfling palisade, Fortford protects the halfling settlements of Cape Cowrie from goblin attacks over the river. In addition to their military function, the fort is also the headquarters for a knightly order – Order of the Loyal Hound, a sect devoted to faith and loyalty and protecting the populace.
