Personal history
Elunya grew up in northern Brevoy with her adoptive human parents who were great Taldan fighters. She has been told that they found her abandoned in the forest when she was a baby and rescued her, but that doesn't seem to be the full story.
From a young age, it became apparent that she had inherited some magic powers. Whenever she could get her hands on any reading material about magic she would study it to find out more about her powers.
Elunya's given name was originally Aemilia Sisenna (Sisenna being her adoptive parents' last name), but as a teenager, feeling the need to reconnect with her ancestry, she decided to give herself a witch first name and an orc last name and thus started introducing herself as Elunya Grimzur.
When she was 19 years old, while walking through a forest looking for herbs, she noticed some movement in the grass, she approached cautiously and saw a toad on its back slowly moving his legs like he was in pain. It reminded her of the story she had been told about how her parents found her and she took him home to take care of him. Thankfully he was perfectly fine within an hour (turns out it was a food coma). Elunya named the toad Smirk because of his crooked smile and the two were inseperable ever since.
When she was 24 years old, Elunya happened to meet Coral Deville, a powerful half-elf witch, who she instantly felt great admiration for and longed to learn from. She joined Coral's Coven (yes, that was its name, no doubt left about the hiererchy of things over there), along with:
*Hazel Crowe, 18 yo human witch, the youngest of the group but still more powerful than Elunya since she grew up with her witch father who had been teaching her how to use her powers since childhood.
*Lillian Lynx, 25 year old fellow half-orc witch, who due to their closeness in age and similar background was both the closest to Elunya and the one she had the most compeptitive relationship with.
Coral's Coven became Elunya's found family, where she was able to explore and expand her powers. She followed along and took part in all of Coral's plans to gain power and influence and enact revenge upon anyone that Coral saw as an enemy, but would occasionally express some doubts or question their motives. With time it became increasingly clear that she was the weak link of the group, both in terms of powers and in terms of dedication to the cause. Elunya was gradually pushed away from the group and found out she had been excluded from many of their meetings. Feeling disappointed, hurt, but simultaneously relieved and hopeful, she set out to find new friends and new adventures.
