Lukari Prime

The homeworld of the Lukari people, Lukar is an M-class moon orbiting the fifth planet in the Lukari in the Lukari system. While not the planet from which the Lukari species originted from biologically, it is the world that the Lukari people consider their main home, also serving as the capital of Lukari Concordium, the main political entity of the Lukari people.

History

Following their loss in a civil war om the planet Kentar against an opposing faction of the Kentari people, the Lukari, those Kentari who followed the philosophical teachings of the scholar Lukar, left their world in search of another to make their new home. This would be known as the Great Exodus, in which a large contingent of Lukari colonists left on primitive space vessels searching for a habitable world to colonise. After several difficult years, the colonists eventually found a candidate in an M-class moon orbiting the fifth planet, a gas giant, what would become known as the Lukari system.
Over time, the Lukari people would settle and tame their new world, taking careful measures not to endanger it's ecosystems or dangerously exploit its resources, a deliberate choice informed by the teachings of their idealogy's founder, as well as through meticulous research and study. While this may have slowed the colonisation process, it did however ensure that the Lukari's development of their new world remained sustainable, resulting in a civilisation whose settlements and practices worked in tandem with the natural environment around it.
Given the Lukari's inward focus on self development and relative isolation, Lukari Prime remained unaware of the exsistence of alien species and the wider galaxy for much of its history. It was during the early 2410s that the Lukari began to encounter other space faring species
