Kodna, Goddess of Summer

Divine Domains

As the Goddess of Summer, Kodna reigns over the warm sunshine on a sunny day and the upredictable storms of a summer's eve. Known for her sudden mood swings which tend to effect the weather, followers of the Astral Host often attempt to ridicule her to tears when they crave rain, and priase her when they desire more sunshine. A farmer in Slanteria may curse her name during a drought in an effort to draw her tears to his crop. Or a young couple in Hanesia may praise her name in the hopes their wedding day be blessed with fair weather and sunshine.

Artifacts

A champion of Konda may posses an intricate suncatcher; the panes of glass flowing over each other and entangling with the fine metal creating a detailed vision of the symbol of Konda herself. This mysterious artifacts is said to bring prosperity or sorrow to the champion who holds it.

Holidays

On the 3rd of Gred followers of the Astral Host devote this longest day of the year to pleasing Konda in the hope the summer brings neither drought nor flood.   Unlike other holidays, this is not usually a community affair. Individual families, occasionally joined by close neighbors will set up alters and feast in her name. During which they share stories with her to invoke different emotions. Some to make her laugh, others to make her weep or smile. Often times people share stories of loved ones long passed or hope for the future. The ultimate goal is to provide her with a balance of emotions to last the season. Too many sad stories and her tears may bring treacherous floods. Too many happy stories and her smiles may doom Omnisia with drought.
