Farend, Goddess of War
Goddess of War Farend
While her twin sister, Fylena, Goddess of Peace, is a being of patience with a level head, Farend is hot-headed, her followers jumping into conflicts, believing that to be the only way to gain glory, and with it, Farend's favor. The most dedicated to Fylena are the battlefield strategists, those who control the war, direct it, but never have to see its true nature. Those who lead from behind. That isn't to say that the footsolder doesn't pray to Farend for strength, for he does, while praying for Fylena's peace in the same breath. While the twins are polar opposites, they often go hand in hand, with times of peace leading to war, and times of war inevitably returning to peace.
Divine Domains
Farend is the goddess of war and warfare. She is prayed to by generals and footsoldiers alike for battlefield strategy and martial prowess. For the power to defeat their enemeies, and for Farend's mercy, that they may survive the coming battles. Both she and her sister, Fylena, goddess of peace, are patrons of assassins, as their actions can cause war, or avoid it.
Artifacts
Farend's artifact is a pair of double-edged swords, named the Left and Right Hand of War. When activated, they put the wielder into a frenzy, making them nearly invincible, able to kill nearly any target. But, as a reminder that war brings pain to all, the weilder suffers a portion of the damages dealt while in this frenzy. The Hands of War are in the possession of one of Farend's champions, the leader of the Undying, the legendary fighter Olevar Dyvent.
