Theron
The Champion of Devils
Theron is a devil from the Recreant's Sentence, the fourth layer of the Thirteen Hells. Theron was gifted land by Yurlungrr, the Great Dragon of Freedom, and with this gift came the necessity to enslave the mortals that trespassed on that land. His power waned amongst mortals, but this only emboldened Him to enslave more souls for the Recreant's Sentence. His mount is recognized as being a Hell Hound.
Dogma
Theron is an unscrupulous Champion that has often attributed mortals to being a form of currency in the grand scheme of life. He oftentimes assists others in leaving deals and contracts, while leading them into deals and obligations that benefit purely Himself. This dubious behavior is what truly keeps Him as a dangerous Champion to worship as the worshippers' souls are not always guaranteed the afterlife they wish to have.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Gaining favor with Theron is simple as it requires the worshipper to engage in pacts, contracts, and other forms of obligatory actions to ensure the cooperation of others. To be shortsighted in planning, or even to be locked into a detrimental bargain is grounds for losing favor. Redemption for this is found through not only proper preparation for the future, but also revenge against those that have forced the worshippers' hand.
Interactions with the World
Worshippers of Moon tend to develop the amoral traits that Theron is known for. With this comes the practice of manipulating others to perform acts and duties that would otherwise be viewed as morally corrupt. Worshippers of Theron have been known to hide their intentions in hopes of convincing adventurers to unknowingly accept conditions that would ultimately lead to their deaths. Many Cores have a difficult time trusting and controlling Theron worshippers as they are some of the more shrewd monsters.
