Taniwa

The Great Dragon of Hunters

The Relentless Huntsman of Taniwa's Hunting Ground, the eleventh layer of Totripjah Uoinota, resides within a small hut underneath a massive dragon tree. This tree is lined with trophies from past hunts, and due to the curse that Taniwa has placed on the layer, that tree will receive more trophies. The Relentless Huntsman’s prey, the trespassers on His layer, are hunted and slain by Him. Their bodies are left to be a part of the Hunting Ground as what made that individual unique is what the tree will take as a trophy. The curse that Taniwa placed on this layer is one that allows Him to always be aware of the trespasser’s location, but the trespasser will always feel watched and may not even rest easy from the observation He performs. His mount is recognized to be a Fang Drake.

Dogma

Taniwa is a disciplined huntsman that seeks to test His quarry when they arrive on the Hunting Ground. This is to see if they are truly a hunter and worthy of passing into the Gilded Lands or even leaving His layer. Taniwa is fair to His quarry, but He is as fair as a hunter normally is to Their prey. If the Relentless Hunter captures a trespasser alive, He will provide them safe passage to their home plane.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Worshippers of Taniwa aim to utilize His ideals for the betterment of balahran society. Because of this, the balahran peoples looked into new hatching techniques to create the Atar’Uraka caste. Redemption for the Thirteen is only for those that are Chosen, and the Chosen must perform acts that are abhorrent to that Great Dragon. For Taniwa, this act is failure to provide. If one were to fail in their duties to the tribe, then they are not worthy to be in that tribe.

Interactions with the World

Taniwa influences the actions of His worshippers through temptation, as is this is the typical corruptive action that all of the Thirteen use on their worshippers. Taniwa's temptation upon His worshippers is the thrill of the hunt. This started as the balahran enjoying the act of taking the lives of weaker creatures, but it developed into the balahran founding a new caste to provide to their tribes. And thus, Taniwa benefits from the Atar’Uraka.
