Sylvia Lyall

The Great Being of the Broken

Sylvia is a Jhar’Irden that was made by the Thirteen. Specifically by Gaasyendietha, the Great Dragon of Creativity. The purpose for Her creation was a byproduct of the favor performed for Lamina Snow, the Great Dragon of Knowledge. Before the Thirteen were sealed, Lamina had asked for a daughter as Her and Valrux, the Champion of Leadership, could not conceive one. Because of this, Gaasyendietha recreated Eve, the Great Dragon of Innocence, in the image of Lamina and Valrux. However, Gaasyendietha had made another. One that was made shortly after to act as Her eyes on Xilunwa. Sylvia was born with light alabaster skin with white scales adorning human-like flesh. She was around the same height as an Atar’Uraka, but Her draconic traits remained dominant on Her human-like form. Her mount is recognized as being a Warbike.

Dogma

Sylvia is a rebellious Dragon that acted as a justicar for those who were outcasts and exiles. She had always pushed Herself to exhaustion when it came to any task brought before Her. If She had no such tasks, She used Her proactive nature to find new “quests” to conquer. However, even though at first glance She appears abrasive, conversing with Sylvia is a pleasant affair as She is incredibly understanding and easy to get along with. However, She actively distrusts the authority of others until they have proven they earned their positions to Her first.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Balahran worshippers of the Alliance of Scales do not have to seek redemption from them as their faith is not gifted, but taken. Sylvia’s favor is gained through “picking up the pieces.” This has been translated by balahran scholars to mean that Sylvia had a sense of how composed other creatures were and would engage in finding a way to make that creature feel “whole.”

Interactions with the World

Sylvia influences the actions of Her worshippers through guidance. Sylvia’s guidance upon Her worshippers is there will always be someone who is in a worse position than you, and it is up to you to find that someone and uplift them. This started as being present for those that are suffering or have suffered a traumatic event, but it developed into easing the suffering of others by aiding in the future prevention of such atrocities. And thus, Sylvia provides from their compassionate initiative.
