Nyx
The Champion of Animals
Nyx is a chimeric behemoth embodying many aspects of nature. Their creation by Their Core has remained undetermined, but Nyx believes their creation was to be the Apex of nature. Their physical form is often described as a moose head with massive ram-like horns, shark teeth, bulbous insect-like eyes, great ape torso, octopus tentacles arching from their back, thick scales, gills, extendable tongue, elephant-like legs, massive bull hooves, and arms akin to a mole's or anteater's with extendable talons that leave the knuckles. This, however, has caused Nyx great pain as Their physical form was unstable. And Nyx took action into Their own hands and destroyed Their Core. Their mount is recognized as being a Rhinoceros.
Dogma
Nyx is a wistful Champion that deeply regrets the destruction of Their Core. After this, They dedicated Themselves to preventing other Cores from committing the same atrocities that were committed against Them. To Nyx, it is against natural laws to create something that will only know pain. And Nyx will stop at nothing to ensure that They are the last Core creation to suffer this fate.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
To gain favor with Nyx, worshippers must protect and aid in the positive development of nature. This is typically done by aiding wildlife. If an animal, however, was left to suffer when a worshipper could end its misery, then that is cause for loss of favor. Redemption is found through becoming more attuned to nature, and this is often found through embracing and following in the integration of the transgressor into the pack, flock, school, etc that they had failed.
Interactions with the world
Worshippers of Jet tend to develop the humane traits that Nyx is known for. Worshippers of Nyx have been known to adopt the familiars, animal companions, and mounts of adventurers to provide them with a safe and nurturing home. Cores that do embrace the idea of Nyx worshippers do so only because the animals these worshippers take care of do not diminish resources. However, the Cores that dislike these worshippers are the ones that find that the animals they adopt are distracting to the worshipper during invasions.
