Nadeen Licean

The Icon of Fire

Nadeen Licean, also known as the Fires of War, is a soldier wearing a steel and bronze breastplate overtop a red and yellow set of mage’s robes. She is often shown with a pale complexion and long, wild hair like burnt ash, but unlike Her leader, Nicodemus Mohr, the Icon of War, the descriptions of Nadeen are that of a turbulent holocaust of flame with one lone wick at the center of ashen destruction. Nadeen represents not just fire, but the ravages of war. Fire consumes and destroys indiscriminately, but will take the path of least resistance. War does not care for whom is in the way, nor how long it takes, but it cares for its own outcome. And just like fire, Nadeen represents the toll taken on the lands after the war has been fought and the signs of battle have ceased. Her mount is recognized as being a Mega Raptor.

Dogma

Nadeen is a temperamental Icon that rose through the ranks of the War Vultures to become a field captain under Nicodemus Mohr. This led to Her putting Her troops through literal trials by fire. To test their resolve and endurance. Their willingness to push through pain and danger to get to the objectives and goals set for them. She cared for results, and would actively take the shortest path to a goal as She deemed Her soldiers strong enough to make it the path of least resistance.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

To gain favor with Nadeen, one must pursue what they are fighting for. To actively strive for their goals, not just have them. To be complacent with one’s aspirations and lack the ambition to pursue them is grounds for losing favor. Redemption for such acts is enlistment into a difficult branch of your nation’s military. To pursue the position of an elite soldier. Only then will Nadeen look favorably upon you.

Interactions with the world

Nadeen actively interacts with the soldiers and warriors of Omen. These interactions are of camaraderie and kinship with one’s fellows. Due to this, soldiers in human militaries, or even just worshippers of the War Vulture, often say “Iron Within,” to one’s superiors and, “Iron Without,” to one’s subordinates. The meaning of this was long lost, but it is surmised that soldiers state that “Iron Within,” and “Iron Without,” represent that they are soldiers both in and out of their armor.
