Modin Vanderbilt
The Paragon of Magic
Modin is a paler dwarf than most with deep brown eyes, long receding gray hair, and a long scraggly beard that splits and rolls over His shoulders with them connecting to his mane of hair in an iron clasp. He is often described as wearing dark blue robes with cerulean trim, but these robes are lined with metal plating and silver mesh. The Paragon himself is often worshipped by scholars, mages, and librarians. Though it is most common for worshippers of Modin to be of any magical walk of life, though He typically attracts wizards. His mount is recognized as being a Stone Ram.
Dogma
Modin is a rather stern, and to some cranky, Paragon. Though the Librarian is the Paragon for distributing knowledge, it is Modin that oversees how that knowledge is used. It can't be helped that most of the time, worshippers of Modin actually confront worshippers of the Librarian in hopes of regulating their use of magic. Many mages of Modin actually try to formulate new ways of utilizing magic, and in doing so, have managed to aid in the magical applications of different spells to provide ease to many different groups of people.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Modin is more likely to grant His favor to those diligent enough to utilize magic in a way that is beneficial and efficient. These applications of magic have been typically deemed benevolent, but they can be done selfishly as long as they are done efficiently. Though, the abuse of magic can truly bring Modin's ire to any that do so in His name. This has been more common as the years after the Great Collapse have gone on, and thus it has become commonplace for redemption under Modin to be a pilgrimage to The Shattered Lands and entering one of the ancient quarries to pay respects to the dwarves that perished centuries ago.
Interactions with the World
Modin tends to linger in the outskirts of interaction. His interactions have been commonly referred to as, "an ever present parent that scrutinizes the every move of their nervous child." Which, to those that worship Modin, this is very accurate. Worshippers of Modin have been noted as providing advice without taking a side, but will almost always be disappointed with the outcome of the application of their advice.
