Malik
The Icon of Loss
Malik, also known as the Forbidden Journal, is an average height human with an athletic build and an obscured face. He is often depicted wearing dark clothing and a cloak as to lead others away from wanting to interact with Him. Malik was known for His information gathering and infiltration tactics. However, after the loss of his closest friends, He fell into a grief that even Icons cannot escape and thus has vowed to never open up to anyone again to avoid losing others He develops a connection with. His mount is recognized as being a Shadow-Infused Falcon.
Dogma
Malik is a sorrowful Icon that is difficult to gain the trust of. Those that have been in His life have been those that He truly let become close friends and confidants to Him. However rare it may be, Malik will oftentimes reminisce on when His party was still alive and linger on those memories for as long as He is able. Regret, in its most basic form, is a starting point for those that worship Malik. The end of a Malik worshipper tends to be over the graves they have outlived and added to.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Prayers and tithes paid to Malik are appreciated by His priests and worshippers, but Malik does not believe in the connection of Icons and their worshippers. As such, one cannot gain favor, lose favor, or redeem themselves in the eyes of Malik as loss is universal and only acceptance is needed for that loss.
Interactions with the world
Malik has a unique interaction with the humans of Omen that is often underappreciated by those that are unaware of His blessing. Those that have experienced loss or grief will often receive a visitation from Him in the form of a vast ocean as they are adrift on a raft. With this, a feeling of immense grief and remorse begins to settle within the dreamer until eventually they cannot move. And then the sun rises on the horizon. The light bathing the dreamer in golden hues as the grief and sorrow are slowly washed away from their body. A sense of calm overtakes the dreamer and they are invited to embrace the dream for as long as they need.
