Drakainai
The Great Dragon of the Forest
The Soul Baron of the Undergrove, the fifth layer of Totripjah Uoinota, resides within Aster’s Grove, the Embodiment of Beauty, as She is protected by Him and She provides souls for Him. The Soul Baron has cursed the Undergrove to perpetually create mist that, if one were a wandering soul on this layer, will corrupt that soul. These corrupted petitioners’ presence warps the landscape and their unified humming persists within the minds of those that leave this layer. For those that are not wandering souls, the incessant humming and the corruptive mists do not take hold immediately. However, the effects are different when it comes to the living as they start to take rash actions and make dangerous decisions. His mount is recognized to be a Black Drake.
Dogma
Drakainai is a remorseless baron that patrols the forests of the Undergrove. He is relentless in His search for trespassers and will shepherd them to Aster in hopes of adding them to both of Their influences. His primary intention is to protect and maintain His Undergrove, as well as everything belonging to it. Drakainai will stalk and ambush interlopers and even drive them apart so He can hunt them separately. He overwhelms His prey when they are alone as He believes a fight should be advantageous on one side. Being considered fair when it comes to life and death is foolish.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Worshippers of Drakainai aim to utilize His ideals for the betterment of balahran society. Because of this, the balahran peoples share their homes with others, even strangers. However, the Soul Baron’s favor is gained through more than just territory, as it is gained through even being active at night. Redemption for the Thirteen is only for those that are Chosen, and the Chosen must perform acts that are abhorrent to that Great Dragon. For Drakainai, this act is hospitality. To provide for your guests and to welcome all within your dwelling.
Interactions with the World
Drakainai influences the actions of His worshippers through temptation, as is this is the typical corruptive action that all of the Thirteen use on their worshippers. Drakainai's temptation upon His worshippers is the enforcement of one’s own creed upon others. This started as the enforcement of tribal laws and codes of conduct, but it developed into family rules and laws to help strengthen bloodlines. And thus, Drakainai benefits from their family values.
