Boris
The Great Being of Commerce
Boris is a dwarf that once lived in a location known as Thunder Ridge. Thunder Ridge used to be a major orcish trading hub and Boris moved His wares here to hopefully bring riches back to His family. Boris had sold many forms of containers for transport. However, the ones that He managed to sell the most due to Mani, the Great Being of Sacrifice, was His barrels. Primarily, His personal travel sized barrels. These were unfinished tankards that had become incredibly popular after the first few purchases. His mount is recognized as being a War Camel.
Dogma
Boris is a jovial dwarf that found the greatest enjoyment out of interacting with customers. He enjoys being able to tailor a purchase to the individual. However, there are instances where Boris has allowed customers to “seek their own fate” when making purchases on the behalf of others. Boris has a soft-spot for those that are struggling with their life circumstances, and He will oftentimes allow them to work off the payment as a temporary employee.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Balahran worshippers of the Alliance of Scales do not have to seek redemption from them as their faith is not gifted, but taken. Boris’s favor is gained through making wise purchases and even wiser appraisals. For if one is to pursue coin as their passion, then one must be able to understand both sides of the counter. This leads into knowing when a purchase is necessary at the time or at least in the near future. And on the side of the merchant, it is understanding a customer’s needs and being able to enlighten them on what their true necessities are.
Interactions with the World
Boris influences the actions of His worshippers through guidance. Boris’s guidance upon His worshippers is being able to provide to those that truly need it. Boris became involved with the Alliance of Scales as they had only provided the tools for the betterment of the balahran, but they had not provided the knowledge and understanding that the balahran needed to utilize those tools. Boris had sought out each of the castes in each of the balahran tribes and had instructed them on the proper use of their tools and trades. Soon, an interconnecting web of economic gain and cultural understanding was formed through trade and negotiations. And thus, Boris had provided a new form of survival to the balahran.
