Apophis

The Great Dragon of the Earth

The Ravenous Terror of the Reflected Wastes, the first layer of Totripjah Uoinota, finds residence within any location across the layer as Her rest is inconsistent. The curse of this layer is one that immediately assaults those that enter. Upon entering the Reflected Wastes, creatures are assaulted with memories that are from their reflected selves. These memories are of what occurred on this layer. From the loss of life to the loss of possessions. Apophis actively destroys this layer and visitors are hunted by Her to be consumed as their fear and sorrow provide a visceral nourishment. His mount is recognized to be a Blue Drake.

Dogma

Apophis is a ruthless terror that ravages the landscape of the Reflected Wastes in search of new prey to consume or new buildings to destroy. Her endless hunger and Her desire for destruction are what defines Her. The Ravenous Terror’s mind is a broken affair with only the urge to kill, consume, and destroy as the only driving forces. There is no reasoning with Apophis as reason was consumed alongside the Reflected Wastes.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Worshippers of Apophis aim to utilize Her ideals for the betterment of balahran society. Because of this, the balahran peoples have controlled their emotions and choose to build rather than dismantle. However, the Ravenous Terror’s favor is gained even when a balahran reaches a breaking point and the resulting actions being out of emotion as opposed to logic. Redemption for the Thirteen is only for those that are Chosen, and the Chosen must perform acts that are abhorrent to that Great Dragon. For Apophis, this act is relaxation. To settle one’s mind and allow one’s emotions to settle.

Interactions with the World

Apophis influences the actions of Her worshippers through temptation, as is this is the typical corruptive action that all of the Thirteen use on their worshippers. Apophis’s temptation upon Her worshippers is the desire to express emotional extremes through acts of destruction. This started as reaching emotional breaking points and allowing one’s emotions to hit extremes leading to social, self, and physical destruction, but it developed into balahran withholding their emotions and becoming more empathetic with each other. Confiding into those they trust in hopes of resolving their emotional turmoil. And thus, Apophis benefits from their empathy.
