Knighthood of the Seasworn
Famous during the Ruination, this organization has seen a great decline as their members and ways died off. Only three remain, and they no longer serve the lofty goals of their predecessors.
This order of knights and paladins swore to uphold an honorable goal of protecting those who travelled along the coasts and seas. Many pilgrims who traversed the waters of Omeath would be at risk of pirates, sea beasts, and shoreside raiders. In order to protect these folk, the Knighthood of the Seasworn was created to serve as protectors of the righteous who traversed the seas. A realm where no kings ruled, they would serve as the guardsmen on patrol. During the Ruination, many would become great heroes along the shores of Czerelan and Omeath, but it would take a great toll on their numbers. As their order faded into obscurity, they brought in fewer recruits. The end of their order would come on the day that their final monastery was burned by an unknown force and three of their brothers turned their back on the order, betraying them. Now, the three brothers still carry the Seasworn name and title, travelling the world.
Culture
Due to their proximity and relationship with ships and the oceans, their ranks were made up of people from the coast and people who spent a lot of time on ships. Many of their members had naval experience serving for a kingdom of state, some were redeemede pirates that were offered redemption by the Archons of the knighthood. If they did not already have the knowledge, it was drilled into them during their training and studies. Each Seasworn was taught how to traverse the seas and protect those who crossed the boundless waters of the world.
Many of their chants and songs sound like sea shanties, they drink from tankards, and act like sailors due to their close relationship with seafaring folk. Numerous members have good relationships with captains along the coasts.
Public Agenda
During the time of their height, their public agenda was to protect those who traversed the seas. They sought to ensure safe passage to the righteous who sought lands far away, or people seeking a new life. Noble and charitable, their goal was not one to gain wealth or fame, but to make the world a safer place.
