Solar Quintet Alliance Nobility

Solar Quintet Alliance Nobility Echelons 1st Rank Starlord A member of the Council of Star Lords. When a Starlord dies or resigns, the next Starlord must be unanimously chosen by the other Starlords. There can only be five Starlords at a time.
2nd Rank Archon Speaker of the House of Nobles. Elected by the House of Nobles. Cannot be inherited.
3rd Rank Duke / Duchess Founder of a fully established colony on an Alliance Planet, or the descendant of such. Often preside as planetary Governers. Holds a greater seat in the House of Nobles. Can inherit title from previous Duke/Duchess.
Magistrate Equivalent rank to duke. Founder of a fully established colony on an Alliance Moon, or the descendant of such. Preside as lunar Governers. Holds a greater seat in the House of Nobles. Can inherit title from previous Magistrate.
4th Rank Beizi (贝子) Ruler of a designated territory on an Alliance World. Appointed by a world's Duke or Magistrate. Can inherit title from previous Beizi. Holds a lesser seat in the House of Nobles.
5th Rank Count / Countess Ruler of a sector of a Beizi's territory. Appointed by their presiding Beizi. Can inherit title from previous Count/Countess.
6th Rank Viscount / Viscountess Ruler of a city in a Count's sector. Appointed by their presiding Count/Countess. Can inherit title from previous Viscount/Viscountess.
7th Rank Baron / Baroness Landed nobility granted title by a Beizi, Count, or Viscount. Can inherit title from previous Baron/Baroness.
8th Rank Ejen (額真) Landed owner of several asteroids or a sufficiently large asteroid. Granted title by an Archon. Can inherit title from previous Ejen.
Knight / Chevalier A person granted a title of knighthood by a Starlord for grand deeds done for the greater good of the Alliance, especially in a military capacity.
9th Rank Beile (贝勒) Direct relative of one the the above nobles who will not inherit their title.
