Оö

The Оö is the skeleton of the Ibrófeneð. It serves a dual purpose as the main support for the creature's structural integrity and the thickest defensive barrier against physical injury. It is split into two main parts, the Оö-Ëtavú and Оö-Ŋüžtú, which form two semicircular shapes that cover the creature's top and bottom portions, respectively. The densest part of the body, the Оö makes up 70% of the Ibrófeneð's entire body mass.

Anatomy

The Оö can be split into the Оö-Ëtavú and Оö-Ŋüžtú, which govern the structure, protective limits, and major nutrient flow routes for their respective regions.

Оö-Ëtavú

Main Article: Оö-Ëtavú

The Оö-Ëtavú is the top portion of the Оö. It forms a spherical canopy, the Ýyr-Оö, that matches the overall curvature of the Žëša, while a small portion of it, the Оö-Vanýst, lines the Vanýst, or the digestive tract. Representing 55-67% of the total skeletal mass, it is the largest bone and the thickest, with a maximum width of 2 cm. Beyond the typical skeletal functions of structural integrity and protection, it serves a number of other different purposes including the transport of nutrients from Tewaðup-A and Tewaðup-E to the Vöród and Vmýül, the main support and storage for the Matošu, and a shock barrier for the Vanýst.

Ýyr-Оö

Main Article: Ýyr-Оö

The Ýyr-Оö is the hemispherical canopy and the largest portion of the skeleton in terms of mass and volume. It is the main structural support and contains the nutrient transport line for the skin, eyes, ears, and Matošu. Starting at the Matošu with a thickness of 1-2 cm, it gradually tapers down as it gets to the sides of the creature; at the eyes, it diverges into spear-like appendages that further taper down in both size and thickness until around 3-4 cm away from the Оö-Ŋüžtú. On the outside surface of the Ýyr-Оö are tiny pinprick holes which reach through the bone and connect to a vast network of vessels, serving as the bone's main form of self-repair and also as the driving force behind the creation of the Üpal, or the black scales that don the outside of the Ibrófeneð.

Оö-Vanýst

Main Article: Оö-Vanýst

The Оö-Vanýst is the portion of the Оö-Ëtavú that occupies the inner lining of the Vanýst, the Ibrófeneð's digestive tract. It is made of a special kind of bone that is characterized by the presence of boron, resulting in a thin, glass-like material. This is formed and secreted by special glands near the Tewaðup, such that the material naturally fuses to the sides of the teeth itself. It usually takes 3-5 weeks to fully form the Оö-Vanýst.

The main function of the Оö-Vanýst is to serve as the main shock absorber of the teeth, as the strong back and forth motion of the teeth, and the high speeds at which it collides with each other and other surfaces renders its proximity to the brain especially dangerous. At impacts reaching around 500 Newtons, vibrations from the teeth to the Оö-Vanýst will
