Pot Centipede

from the Kingdom hearts game series.
the unification of bunch of pot spiders. a powerful heartless that can easily overwhelm the unprepared.

Basic Information

Anatomy

despite being called a 'centipede', they do not always have 100 legs, as this is based on the number of pot spiders it is comprised of.

Growth Rate & Stages

some pot centipedes have been discovered that are made up of 20 or more spiders, spanning several metres in size. while they usually only combine when threatened, survivors actively seek out more spiders to assimilate.

Ecology and Habitats

mostly in urban environments, particularly desert towns/ruins. can also be found in the desert, dwelling a few feet under the sand (similar to wurms).

Dietary Needs and Habits

the bigger the centipede, the more violent it becomes. large specimens have been known to hunt in the deserts for corrupt souls to prey on.

the intelligence of these creatures increases in parallel to their size.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

mostly ordinary, but have the improved sight to see perfectly in sandstorms. each segment is capable of sight, but only the front and rear can taste and smell.

abilities:
spider climb (can climb on surfaces without suffering a movement penalty, and can stand on walls and ceilings
. Combination: Gets +1 attack for each segment beyond the 4th (that attack must be made by that segment), and can assimilate other pot spiders. (2 segments fit into one 5ft 'square').
growing threat: at 7 segments, it becomes 'huge' and can burrow underground as part of its movement. at 13 or more segments, it becomes 'massive', and can use 'intimidation' as a bonus action-using strength as it's modifier.

ram: melee - 15 ft line max range. deals 1d6xseg +str bludgeoning damage (can only be used once per turn)
slash: melee- from segment: 1d4+str slashing (1 per segment)
Constrict: 1 target grapple- (DC 13 acrobatics or athletics) 1D8x segments force damage. target is immobilised. damage repeats on each of the centipede's turns until it either chooses to end the effect or target succeeds the save.
loot (1 roll for every 2 segments): 20 copper, 1D6 silver (75%), 1D4 gold (30%), spider eye (25%), dull fragment (10%), miniature pot (3%)
