Cactuar
Walking Small cacti that have some human features. They attack by shooting needles from their form, and dance to grow stronger. Often imitated in mechandise and clothing for their iconic appearance.

Like normal plants, they absorb sunglight, and water/nutrients from subterrenian sources.

Domestication
They have been domesticated before- particularly by certain desert dwelling druid tribes. Some say there is even a shapeshifting cactuar out there somewhere-whose deeds and druid partner are that of legend.
Facial characteristics
The infamous sherpical black empty eyes and eternally open mouth are unmistakable. despite the implications, many find this to be cute.
