1st Age

BOOM! In an instant, where before there was nothing, now was one being, one who had no name but would later be known as THE POWER THAT BE, the supreme power in all of Creation, surpassed by none since or before.    The Power That Be (TPTB) raised their hand and brought into existence the very first beings, the Titans. Monstrous in appearance and behavior, TPTB found them to be not what they wanted for whatever this was supposed to be.    With their second hand, TPTB split this blank canvas into three sections; what Could Be, What Will Be, and What Had Been. The Source, Reality, and Oblivion respectively. With this TPTB found this to be what they wanted this to be, a cycle, from an abstract, would a foundation be made, and once its time had come it would fade into the unknown and slowly back into abstract again and again.    Again, TPTB turned their attention to the Titans and sought to reshape them into something else. They predated the Source, Reality, and Oblivion and as such could not truly be destroyed. TPTB raised their third hand and from the Titans came the many-armed Jötunn, towering above all else.    Satisfied with what had been done, TPTB raised their fourth hand and in an instant, they ceased to exist as a person, and instead as two primordial ideas. One of these ideas would go on to be called the Radiance and the other would be called the Darkness.
