Gift of Death: Shapeshifting

Lady Death gives one Gift to all of her Death Hands, and to SINBAD she gave Shpasifting, the ability to re-shape his form at will. SINBAD has mastered this ability and can even manipulate his DNA and completely change it on a molecular level. With this ability, he can change his body into different materials and use it as a weapon. A secondary Gift from Death is Longjevity or Immortality, although SINBAD can still be killed with sufficient power and skill. He can, however, live an extremely long time until 1) someone actually manages to put him down for good or 2) Lady Death revokes his membership in the Death Hands.

Personal history

Born as Patanjali Upalekar on the desert world of Sjriin, Patanjali and his family of 12 were once merchants but their world was enslaved by the Bizzarians and they became Slaves for the species who brought their planet. Patanjali was still a young lad at the time and was forced to work in the field. In his youth, he began to work closely with the grandson of the Master, a lad named Jeorge who was sympathetic to his family's and people's plight. Jeorge claimed to hate his own people and they slowly formed a bond of friendship that grew into love. 
Jeorge and Patanjali would daydream of stealing a Starship and exploring the Universe all on their own, free from responsibilities and problems. One night Jeorge and Patanjali had grown careless and laid together in his private chambers when his grandmother unexpectedly retired. Horrified, she had them separated and demanded to know what was happening. Jeorge, afraid and shaking, panicked and claimed the "barbaric native" had forced himself upon him in his own chambers, betraying Patanjali's heart and his own, for his fear of the Master, was greater than his love for Patanjali. 
Patanjali was strewn up and Jeorge was forced to severely whip him to death to prove his claims were not false, in front of Patanjali's family. As Patanjali lay dying in the desert dunes his despair and sadness were burned away by wrath and anger, how could the man he LOVED DO THIS TO HIM?!?! In this state, Patanjali was visited by Lady DEATH herself, who was in need of strong warriors. Patanjali's soul refused to leave the land of the living and so DEATH offered a test. 
In the dead of night, a revived Patanjali returned to the ranch and killed his way through the mansions of the rich, cutting down Owner and Slavers, Guilty and Innocence, Patanjali saw no difference. He cut them all down until he came before his lover-turned-killer, Jeorge whom he brutally murdered. Amidst the haze, the remaining Upalekar family was cornered by a man-beast who wore the face of their deceased son, but this could not possibly be their dear Patanjali, for the beast cut them down like all the rest. 
Tay Yun City was burned to the ground, 756 Million people were slain, not a soul survived, Slaver or Slave. In the ashes of the wreckage, one man remained, on his knees, with blood-covered hands, the blood of Killers, of Slaves, of family. Lady DEATH herself stood before him, pleased with the carnage he had unleashed in her name. She had killed Patanjali Upalekar, and in his place, she molded a perfect monster; S I N B A D, named for the crime he had committed here. This event put SINBAD on the Commonwealth's radar and immediately earned him a starting bounty of 500 Billion GEMS.

Education

After his Original Sin in Tay Yun City, SINBAD was trained by fellow Death Hand JOYBOY who taught the young lad everything he knew about combat, Magic, and killing. The Death Hands needed to be the very best, and SINBAD needed to be the best of them.

Employment

There are certain beings in the Universe who refuse to die when their expiration date comes, certain beings who can become troublesome if left unchecked and upset the balance. Lady Death is aware of them but cannot be everywhere at once, and thus she conceived of the Death Hands, five individuals who would aid her in the quest, in her quest of hunting down the Immortals. SINBAD is the 2nd Death Hand and as such is deployed to deliver death and destruction upon any who would seek to upset the natural order of all things.
