Distortion Clones Spell in Old Canon | World Anvil

Distortion Clones

Effect

This ability is two abilities that can be used together or separately to achieve a number of results. The left eye retains the ability to create/ summon 3 exact duplicates of the user without diminishing the original's power, speed, or ability in any way. These Clones are Radiance-Based, Bright-Clones, and as such can only actively attack and pursue beings composed of or imbued with the Darkness. The right eye can do the exact same but only with Darkness-based Clones that can only attack beings composed of or imbued with the Radiance.   These Clones may not be able to attack all enemies but can still use their SHIVA ability, granted they are used by a member of the Al-Hashimi clan. If used by an experienced user, one can summon up to 6 clones of themselves, and although they may not be able to all attack the same enemy, they can still provide support to the User and their allies.   Both eyes can be used at once to create 1 Perfect Clone, this one differs from the others as it is a copy of the original that amplifies the user's power and abilities and can attack any being composed of or imbued with the Radiance or Darkness.

Side/Secondary Effects

  • Distortion Clones require an impressive amount of Magical Energy to Summon & Maintain for long periods of time.
  • A Mage must be unbalanced to summon Distortion Clones. Darkness Clones can only be summoned with Corrupted Majik and Radiant Clones can only be summoned with Purified Majik. The Perfect Clone can only be summoned with balanced Majik.
  • While Six Distortion Clones, 3 Radiant & 3 Dark, can be summoned together at once, when the Perfect Clone is summoned, no other Clones can be used or Summoned until it is uncast.

Manifestation

These Distortion Clones manifest as direct physical copies of the User, either appearing as shadowy silhouettes or shinning figures if they are Dark or Bright Clones.
