Goblins

Goblins are the scourge of the Shami. They live in the spaces between Sami settlements, attacking those who travel between them. They are misshapen, perhaps even malformed creatures, whose arms and legs and other body parts are often the wrong sizes.
Goblins live in small roaming tribes, ranging from half a dozen to maybe three dozen members. The adult members mate freely with each other, though a main male and female tend to rise to the top and tend to kill offspring that aren't theirs. Goblin gestation is uncertain, but no more than a few months long. Goblin juveniles are considered physically mature around 5 years old, but rarely live past 30.
