Dragon

The first dragons of Orgranys found a place that was isolated. This place in the early years where the dragons slowly grew in numbers. One day an inquisitive young dragon, found a strange turquoise glowing pool. The feeling thirst and being unwise, the young dragon drank deeply. The magic, reacting to the inquisitive mind began unlocking the potential of the dragon. As it slowly altered his body and mind, he passed into unconsciousness. Upon waking his scales had gained a metallic sheen.
Tranquil cobalt eyes sit sunken within the creature's scaled, narrow skull, which gives the creature a rather intimidating looking appearance. Several enormous horns sit atop its head. A row of small horns runs down the sides of each of its jaw lines. Its nose is round and has two wide, slitted nostrils and there's a small tendril on its chin. A few sharp teeth poke out from the side of its mouth and show a glimpse of the terror hiding inside.   A thick neck runs down from its head and into a snake-like body. The top is covered in warped scales and rows of spikes runs down its spine. Its bottom is covered in thick skin and is colored darker than the rest of its body. Four muscular limbs carry its body and allow the creature to stand arrogantly and dignified. Each limb has 6 digits, each of which end in barbed claws seemingly made of onyx.   Massive wings grow starting from its shoulders and end all the way down at its pelvis. The wings are almost demonic, the inside is almost entirely see-through, especially when viewed from a distance and curved talons grow from each ending like giant scythes.   Its barbed tail ends in a sword-like edge and is covered in the same radiant skin as its body.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

As a strange quirk of genetics this species is extremely morphic when it comes to exposure to pure magic. With the aid of intent led by a elder dragon, known as a shaper, to guide the metamorphosis. The change alters the dragon to a new form otherwise the change is random.   Every 3 years after the adult stage has been achieved a mating can be achieved and clutches of three eggs are common. Eggs take 13-15 months to hatch and always hatch within hours of each other. When young are still in the nest (typically 9 years) matings are forgone.
