The 17th, 18th, and 19th Legions are wiped out by an alliance of Germanic tribes in Teutoburg Forest, becoming known as the Lost Legions.
One of the only Roman survivors was Oentrus, one of the decendants of Lykaon, who was taken in by the Germanic priests and recieved training on how to control his shift in exchange for becoming the first Guardian.
