Burgomaster's Estate

The end of the road leading south from the tavern terminates at a single residence. This home belongs to the Burgomaster for the village of Barovia and has been in their family for countless centuries. A rusty iron fence encloses the grounds with twisted and torn gates hanging open in front of a trampled pathway through overgrown weeds toward the front door. Visitors follow that path through the neglected grounds until reaching a wide covered deck. Inspection of the manor reveals broken windows patched over with wood planks, a heavily trampled trail encircling the home, and many ostensibly random claw marks across the exterior.   Within the mansion, the checkered foyer floor shines with cleanliness, but corners at the ceiling reveal cobwebs from disuse. The interior rooms are tastefully decorated, but the furniture appears to be dated and worn. In addition, holy symbols of a variety of gods adorn the walls of all rooms, with the most common symbol resembling the Morning Lord's sigil, a smiling face within the sun.
