Session #36

Session #36 Recap: Pushing the big red button as transcribed by Ouritzo the Black.
Garret, Illarion and I started our session in the bowels of the moathouse. Within the consecrated Ghoul Cave, Illarion opened the Really, Super, Mega Evil iron box and revealed a talking evil Skull with a Diadem set upon it with 4 open slots for gems. After Illarion identified the skull he found that it is some sort of key that if applied to the throne in the TOEE main chamber would lower into a new layer of the dungeon. After convincing Illarion to put the big scary skull back in the box, I felt it was in the parties best interest to discover the truth behind the skulls claims. I took the skull with us on our travels.
The party consisting of Sir Robb, Garret and friends, and I went and tried to help Byrne with his poison problem, after looking at the type of poison I concluded that Spiderbloom would take care of the poison. After learning of this the party headed to the one local that we knew of who deals in herbs. Mother Screng.
After arriving in Nulb we went straight away to Mother Screngs herb shop to purchase Byrnes cure. Postwhich we spent the night at one of the local Nulb Taverns. At which we learned that Garrets love the sweet Pearl had absconded with ruffian pirates eastward. We do not know if it was by her choice or not.
After a good nights sleep the party traveled to the Temple. We first went and checked in on how Elmo and the troops were doing. Apparently they are getting ready for an assult on the Air temple. We said that we would be willing to work in conjunction with said plan that was already in motion as we too had a plan for a future assault on the temple forthwith.
After chatting with Elmo the party and I went back upstairs in the Temple to check on the validity of the Skulls claims. After pushing the proverbial big red button to the party's shock we descended deep within the earth unveiling a large ante chamber quite overgrown with fungus all amongst us. Exploring the rooms around the chamber we stumbled across some terrifying fungi who destroyed the first body of Skeletal servant Laryth. After dispatching them Garret found a case in the dirt containing a wand that was later identified by yours truly to be a wand of illumination.
exploring the other chambers we found a chamber that had 4 shapes that glowed in 4 different colors. We assume that these may be key slots for some door of some sort but were unsure as the skull was unhelpful. We continued to explore the chambers around the antechamber revealing another room depicting the skull I had brought along with a red, blue-green, crystal, and orange-brown jewels in its diadem. The skull as usual was silent. We also found a set of doors that appeared to be sealed the same way as the doors on the main floor.
Continuing to search the chamber we went westward towards a pulsating glow of a lower room down some stairs where we saw some skull statues made of Electrum, Platinum, and Gold. While observing a pedestal also made of electrum we were startled by a hag who was sitting in a throne made of silver and surrounded by gems in the shape of some demon that we could not fully see to identify. She screamed at us to leave her be and to take the electrum statue with us. The party talked for a moment about what to do, when Garret tried to make a new friend with her. It did not work but her screams were still the same thing about taking the electrum statue with us. So we did, as well as the platinum one and Gold one. From what we could discern she did not like that decision of ours as we were leaving the electrum statue flew into the sealed doors on the south side of the temple destroying them and the seal. After seeing the doors explode the party ran with our illgotten goods and returned back to the cart and traveled safely back to the moathouse.
To which we sold our new ornate statues for 600,000 GP allowing An Adventuring Guild to become flush with Gold.
