Session #28 Recap
Session Report #28. Written by Ro'Haru. Dates: Wealsun 26-28th, 580 CY
Ouritzo, Sir Rob, Ro'Haru, and Illarion set out to find Serten's Tomb, at the direction of Rufus and Burne, who gave some landmarks to look for, though they didn't know the password to the Tomb. The party mounted up, then headed out.
In the first day of travel, Ro'Haru spotted several hairy humanoids coming their way. After the group aggressively started approaching, the party opened fire, then were quickly engaged. The party started off strong, bringing down a few werewolves in the first minutes of combat, then started to struggle to connect. However, even though strikes didn't hit as much, the enemy pack started to fall apart and flee against the prowess of the party.
The party continued on with no further interruptions to Serten's Tomb. The party found the tree and large stone that Burne told them of, then as Ouritzo was asking what they should do to gain access to Serten's Tomb, it opened. Apparently, Serten's name was the password, which is typically frowned upon by abjurers for being too low security. However, Sir Rob set about preparing himself to enter the tomb. He touched the door, forgetting to present his holy symbol, and took 25 damage for not remembering the first thing we learned from Burne: a holy symbol of St. Cuthbert must be presented to gain entry. Our silly noble then proceeded to remove his head from his nether regions and cast every single defensive and healing spell he had, then enter the Tomb with his holy symbol held high.
Two statues flanked a raised slab, upon which rested the body of a mustachioed man ensconced in armor. Sir Rob approached, then a statue said to him "Great power should be used, especially when great evil is on the rise". The man was apparently an illusion of some king, as it disappeared and Sir Rob could simply take the armor.
Sir Rob came out, insisting the wizards identify the armor, but neither of them had Identify prepared, so they headed back to Hommlet uneventfully and successful.
