Blusher had always had a knack for weaving nature in with technology. There was something in the way that their mind worked that was maybe backwards? Or inverse? Blusher couldn’t know for sure. All they knew was that they had transcended life as a spirit across many bodies, and those life times had led them to be curious about ways to blend the two.
Blusher wasn’t sure how old they were. They didn’t know how many lives they had lived so far, but Blusher knew a little bit about their previous life. They had mixed chemicals in order to create new elements. They had used their knowledge of the breakdown of those chemicals in order to derive different effects on their body at the time. Something had gone wrong. Blusher remembered a fire, screaming, and then...the blackness that was the in between of a soul without a body.
This new body was made of different fungi--mostly mushrooms. The druid that had conjured Blusher’s current body was a gnarly, old orc. He had a hulking form, but inquisitive eyes. His name was Torgan, and Blusher had been drawn to the druid’s spirit immediately. It was not in Blusher’s nature to be a companion--they were more of the solitary variety. Most leshies were after they’d seen enough of life.
But Torgan was different. He was a lonely creature--more drawn to creation than the arts of war, and Blusher could tell that they were of like minds. Torgan offered to teach Blusher the ways of channeling the natural world, and in exchange, Torgan only asked that Blusher share their past lives with him.
For a long while, Torgan and Blusher lived quietly in the Tessean forests. Blusher, being a fungoid, was drawn to the cool, dark, mossiness of the forest. Torgan had been excommunicated from his clan early on in his life because of his beliefs against the taking of unnatural life. Torgan would spare even the smallest flower--gently cradling the bloom in his oversized hand.
Blusher and Torgan were separated after arriving at the Elven Capitol of Glassmire, Torgan was immediately mistrusted by the authorities and taken in for questioning leaving Blusher to find their own way.
