Eternal Roses of Azaroth's Gate

Take a left at Azaroth's Gate, and don't touch the roses. If the roses don't kill you, the locals will.
- excerpt from the Occatora Travellers Guide on travelling through the Calduff Hearth
The roses of Azaroth's Gate never seem to die. It is said by locals that here is where a local hero died during the wars with the gods, struck down by the very god they worshiped. Their friends, who loved them fiercely, threw every healing potion they had and every healing spell they knew at their fallen friend's body, all to no avail. Instead, hundreds of flowers sprung up around the body. The patch of roses that stands today encompasses approxamatly a 10 foot circle, with a 3 foot wide patch of blackened earth in the centre.   Researchers have tried to determine if these roses are everlasting, of it the locals just take execptional care of them. However, anybody getting too close to them for an extended period of time will start to find their fingertips turning a bright shade of green. This strange hue has been observed to cover the hands and wrists of a researcher until they where pulled away by locals. It has been documented that those who take a rose head for themselver often are found dead within a day, with the green hue having completely take over their body.
