The Dragonguard
The Dragonguard are the city guards of the city of Aureapolis, known for the intricately crafted helms resembling the heads of dragons worn by its officers. Several thousand strong, this force is as well armed and trained as most professional armies. However, it has long been known for its high level of corruption, and is looked upon poorly within the city. Today, large portions of Aureapolis are not patrolled by the guard, especially the largely abandoned districts in the outskirts.
