Sjaa's Journal

First Entry     “Kestramore has deceived and betrayed us all. I witnessed her strike down Tamriel myself. Everything we were told, everything we ever knew was a lie. Galdarian is taking us in and offering us sanctuary. He says he has a plan to save us all, something that he and Tamriel put into place before the betrayal. She completely destroyed Galdaria, leveled it with a wave of her hand. If it weren’t for Tamriel's messengers, thousands more would have perished. Kestramore stood above us all and made us a promise. She will destroy us all. -Sjaa”

Second Entry     “I can hear the world around me, the wind grazing every leaf, each grain of sand crunching beneath my feet. It’s wonderful. At first it was overwhelming, but now I don’t know how I lived without these senses before. The other members of the council have been experiencing similar abilities, though all of our powers seem to differ from person to person. Gaol claims that he can “turn off” his pain and can sense the pain in others and Sephir says she can communicate with the creatures of the ocean using the vibrations and ripples of the waves! The Great One promises the new abilities are just the start. Yellig thinks that we might even have a shot at stopping her! I must get back to my training now, but I wish to keep documenting as much as I can in hopes that we do not fail our mission and our story can be told. New beautiful music and stories keep flowing through my head at an alarming rate, it’s a shame that I am only now granted these abilities now that the end is so near. -Sjaa

Third entry     “Galdarian revealed a troubling revelation to us today. He informed us that celestial shard-bearer’s like himself cannot be killed and must personally fracture themselves to the spiritual realm if they are to be defeated. It’s hard not to be pessimistic given this new information. How are we to destroy one who cannot be killed? It sometimes feels like with every step forward, we take three steps back. I’ve been working hard to maintain the morale of The Council, but things seem to be getting worse by the day. The Great Lake has almost completely vanished and so far Gaol is the only one who has sworn his last ideal...although we are getting stronger, what good will that do if we cannot defeat our enemy? -Sjaa”

Fourth Entry       “I don’t know how She broke them free of their Oaths. When we swore to the Council and spoke our ideals, we became bound to each other. But they are not as they once were. She Unmade them. We were supposed to be unable to kill each other without banishment but Gaoul, or Nergaoul as he now calls himself, murdered Jezrien without batting an eye. He didn’t even look like himself anymore. He was...something else. I dont know why he turned on us, maybe it was out of fear or maybe She corrupted Gaoul. Whatever the cause, If we remain divided I feel there is little we can do to stop Her...” -Sjaa

Fifth Entry     “The day has finally come, the enemy marches towards us. We will meet them in Galderra and make our final stand. I will not be with them. She is coming for me, I can feel her presence growing closer. Once I have been taken, only 6 of the council will remain. I pray that my absence will not be the downfall of us all. The world, maybe even the universe, hinges on tomorrow’s outcome and it pains me that after all these years of documenting, I will not be around to witness it. If anybody finds these journals, please continue what I started. Maybe it’s all for nothing, but also if my knowledge can help at least one person, it will all have been worth it. Remember those who have been forgotten. -Sjaa”
