Old Book is most dominant in the south of Tonnister. Regions in which it is not the dominant religion are Whaldam, Sol Kierde, Nahasha and Falken where other religions such as Elani Pablonis, Agrika, and The Greiving Earth are dominant. History

Old Book originated in Obechasta from new books found by King Flangellan that supported same-sex relationships and other social issues such as women's rights. Old Book is a breakaway religion from The Greiving Earth, so it has many similarities to it in traditions. The Tonnisteri Empire was led by this new religion and have many missions all throughout Obe because of Tonnister's conquest. It differs from The Grieving Earth on its emphasis of "survivalist morals", emphasizing more on education, art, and equality under the love of the nature god, Veldaqir. The nature god, Veldaqir, lives in the pocket dimension inside Jacob's Forest where he allows human spirits to go if they worship him and praise the muses who guard Jacob's Forest.

New Order

The Old Book used to have the King as the leader of the church, but this was changed during Queen Betella's reign when she changed the leader to the Immolator of Kronasburg, known as the Reverend. Ever since then, angels no longer serve as fighters in the Tonnisteri army, but as lower-level clergy members, scouts for missions, and patrol for the edge of the territories.

Organization

Inscriptionists

Inscriptionists are most similar to medieval monks, writing down history and furthering education within Obe. Inscriptionists are also responsible for discovering pre-war technology and inventing new ones. Both inscriptionists and angels report to the Immolator of their province who reports to the Reverend.

Angels

Angels are lower-level clergy members and are also used as scouts for missions, and patrol for the territories of Obe. The reason Old Book is so widespread is because of these missions and because of their patrol. Those who may live on the outskirts of Obe, usually end up joining the Angels and help patrol. Usually when a baby is born between two people in the Old Book religion, they are brought up However, a person may be sentenced by a court to be an angel as punishment for their crimes and have to patrol the Wasteland Territory which are very dangerous due to radiation.

Immolators

Immolators are the bridge between angels and inscriptionists, being responsible for both and representing both in the Board of the Serene which contains each immolator from each province and the Reverend at the top. Immolators are chosen by the Reverend to serve on the Board for life, immolators can be either inscriptionists or angels but usually angels are chosen because of the vast number of them.

Reverend

The head of Old Book is known as the Reverend, who resides at the headquarters of the Faith of the Old Book, The Cathedral, which is located at the Tonnister's capital city, Obechasta. The ruling council of Old Book is known as the Board of the Watch who meet in the Monastery in Kronasburg. The Board rank just below the Reverend but are responsible for electing a new Reverend when the current one dies.
