Obechasta, formally Town Esther, is the capital and most populous city of Tonnister. The city has almost 13 million[7] inhabitants and a metropolitan area population of approximately 25 million. It is the second-largest city in the Marinerian Union, and its monocentric metropolitan area is the second-largest in the OU. It is located at the mouth of the Temivista and the southern tip of the Sunderland Island. It was founded by the Nýtt Heimili (New Home) Mission and was later renamed Obechasta from Town Esther after the historical figure and founder Sir James Chasta (OBE). Obechasta originally just referred to the main Mission encampment (Interior District) but now refers to the metropolitan area that is split between the county of Kloster. The actual city is broken up into the neighborhoods of Brimrose, Interior District, Dawnton, Cellava Island, Chotneck Heights, Harpenhamm, Market Plaza, and Scavtown. The Interior District which sits at the heart of Obechasta has historically held the Tonnister goverment, including the sovereign, and the Tonnister National Assembly.

History
Overview
Obechasta is the oldest post-war city in Obe and the largest city in Tonnister, rivaling in population that of Inasbridge and Cinder Garden. As one of the largest cities, if not the largest, it exerts a strong influence on the world in art, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, and tourism. It houses the most higher education institutions in Obe with the Royal College of Tonnister, Backton House of Science College, Obechasta Flying School, and University of Tonnister.
Origins
Obechasta was founded by Sir James Chasta and King Jupel Tonst, King of Tonnister and Monatry. King Jupel established a house on the other side of East River, named Mandoom and Chasta established an encampment outside the Lab. the town that formed around this house was named Town Esther after the city that used to be there. Other settlements started to form around Town Esther and King Jupel met with the leaders of each settlement (Brimrose, Scavtown, Chotneck, Dawnton), where he made an alliance that combined each settlement into one kingdom, the kingdom of Tonnister. The city expanded rapidly under his descendants. By the time of The Glory War, the city had a population of approximately quarter a million people.
King Flangellan, Jupel's son, after spending years being taught history in the Lab Museum, became confused about the founding of Obechasta and ended up finding out about Sir James Chasta who actually was the original founder of the city. Therefore, the king changed the name of the city from Town Esther to Obechasta out of respect of the original founder.
