Honored Sage Ch’aanaka

Ch’aanaka was an Deathstalker sage that lived way back in the second rebirth. He reached enlightenment through slight divine suggestion, and helped his people realize their corrupt morals. At the time that he lived, Deathstalker had not yet learned to control their scorpion blood, and lived as lawless, evil beings. Over the years, through gentle divine persuasion, he began to see flaw in the Deathstalker corrupt ways. He began meditating, and in a vision, he saw his race from an objective perspective, and the wrong they were doing. He would dedicate the rest of his life to cleansing the evil of his people. He mostly succeeded, bringing down the corrupt leaders and establishing peace. Unfortunately, it didn’t last, and the corruption continued to exist. It was only a small percentage of people who found themselves overtaken however, and most Deathstalker today still keep their scorpion blood in check, and remember the teaching of Ch’aanaka.

Holidays

Day of the Great Sage (Grikkstar Rykes, Beastian) is a widespread communal holiday that almost all Deathstalker celebrate. It celebrates the Honored Sage Ch’aanaka, and his philosophy of “Do not take without need or hurt without reason.” It is traditionally celebrated on on the 43 of Life until the 5th of River, the historic dates of the revolution and overthrowing of the corrupt leaders.

Ch’aanaka was a simple person growing up, only going to school for 6 years of his childhood, from the ages of 6 to 12. Later in his life he began to meditate and examine his inner being, and with a little help from the god of beasts, this led him to enlightenment.

Morality & Philosophy

Ch’aanaka was one of the first of his kin to reach enlightenment, and renounce his corrupted scorpion roots. He developed the philosophy of “Do not take without need or hurt without reason,” and helped many other of his kind come to the realization of their moral corruption. He kickstarted a revolution of the Deathstalker agonist their corrupt leadership, and his teachings are widely taught by monks and scholars today.
