World Core

Every world within creation is a living being with variable sentience.

When worlds form, the collection of mass and pressure also create a soul or world core. This is the process of a world being born. Worlds are born devoid of life and may develop lifeforms over time. There are several different ways that life can generate that are known so far.

Some worlds are lucky enough to be born in habitable zones around stars. These are type I world cores. These planets slowly develop various lifeforms through the natural processes we are accustomed to. This puts the least strain on the world core. As life develops, the souls of living beings are formed of the world core essence. Since this method of creating life requires very little from the world core, the extra essence generated rapidly boosts the growth and power of the world core.

Worlds that are born outside the habitable zone, but still within a solar system take a little more effort to generate life. These world cores grow more slowly and tend to generate auras around the planet that function like an artificial atmosphere. The aura allows for changes to the surface of the planet to make it more viable for life. Lifeforms that develop on these worlds are more closely bonded to their world core, with more of their souls directly tied into the essence of the world core. These core-born beings have a much harder time leaving their planet for any reason, and some are so interconnected that leaving is impossible.

While these worlds develop more slowly, once they start sustaining lifeforms on the world their power grows far more rapidly than the type I world cores. Core-born beings exist as extensions of the world core itself, and feed power back into it at all times. These are type II world cores.

Type III worlds are too far from their nearest system to generate life, and would take a much longer time to build up an aura strong enough to help. These worlds often collect life rather than generating it. Some lure lifeforms from other worlds to them, while others have life actively sent to them from older more sentient worlds. This outside introduction of life leads to a very fast growth. While this fast growth can have many positives, these world also have less refined sentience and control than older worlds with the same power levels. If an older world sent life to a type III world it is usually with the goal of claiming the younger world as a follower, or to feed off the world core.

A fourth type of world cores are also though to exist. These worlds are not tethered to a solar system, and instead are wandering planets. Some of these planets naturally develop life over time, and some do not. They can follow any of the type I, II, or III growth patterns. These are special type worlds.

World Death

If all life is drained or removed from a world it can kill the core. Dead world cores turn into void and change the world to either a black hole, or a void world that draws in and destroys souls.

Developing Life

Life can arise in any form, but they tend to fall into certain categories.

Tier One
The simplest form of life is that of plants and microbes, These life forms have little to no sentience and are considered physically part of the world t hey grow on. On some worlds they may eventually gain some level of sentience, but more often they will be imbued with the essence of the world and provide physical and soul sustenance to the higher forms of life.

Tier Two
This category includes animals and creatures of limited sentience. This is the first category of life t hat contain souls. At this level souls cannot be manifested as power and simply connects them to the world and its core.

Tier Three
This category includes fully sentient beings, with souls that they can be taught to manifest. How souls manifest is dependent on how the essence of the world core develops.

Tier Four
The final category is higher beings. These beings function as an extension of the world core itself. These beings can travel to other worlds under the right conditions.
