General Physical Condition

Flint is about average height with a deceptively slight silhouette.

Strong jawline and thick black brow. His green eyes are framed by his circular glasses that sit perched upon his strong nose and supported by two equally strong ears.

Flint will often time take off his glasses and clean them when asked a question that will take more than a moment to ponder.

Flint adorns a black trench coat when he's on deck, but when working beneath deck he wears a simple dress shirt and vest along with his trademark round spectacles. Flit also always wears a a magical trinket on a necklace around his neck, the origins of the trinket are unknown.

Personal history

From a very young age, Flint had always been a curious boy, both in his love of discovery and his unusual disposition. As a child Flint was obsessed with taking apart gadgets to see how they worked and trying to put them back together again as if they were a puzzle for him to solve. However, the greatest puzzle in Flint’s mind was that of the sea. Growing up in a port town, Flint was no stranger to stories of sea monsters, ghost ships, sunken magical artifacts, and other mysteries only discussed in hushed voices. Every night Flint would dream of the day he could embark on his own adventure aboard a boat of his design with his trusty crew at his side. Flint never once thought his dream would ever falter; until one fateful day.   At the age of 6, Flint’s parents were lost at sea when their merchant ship was struck by an immense storm off the coast of Morin’s Watch. With the news of his parent’s death, Flint was left in the care of his Grandfather Samuel, who owned a weapon forge known as Sailor’s Swords in the port town of Pendle’s Harbor. From that day forward Flint was forbidden from going near the water or entertaining any dreams of adventure on the high seas. His destiny was now that of Smith’s apprentice, or so he thought for many years.   Flint worked studiously with his grandfather for 12 years, manning the forge and learning how to handle the weapons he built. However, Flint was more interested in building his own gadgets and testing them whenever his Grandfather was away. He would also read about mechanics, and inquire about the source of magical artifacts when he got the chance.   Although Flint was not allowed near the water he was occasionally permitted to make deliveries and supply runs to the port. One morning, while finishing a delivery near the port, Flint was heading back to his grandfather’s forge when a glint in the sand caught his eye. It was low tide and the water had receded to reveal a strange small metallic artifact lodged in the sand. Flint knew better than to disobey his grandfather but something called to him from the beach, it was something more than curiosity, it was fate.   Over the next 3 months, Flint painstakingly tinkered with the artifact, using all of the knowledge he’d secretly accumulated over the years to decipher the runes and unlock its secrets, but it was no use. Flint knew in his heart that this was a puzzle that had sought him out and if he was to solve it, he’d have to either find the missing pieces or build his own.   With a strong wind in his sails and a fire stoked in his heart, Flint Sailor left his grandfather’s forge and chartered passage to the city of Ivadoor, across the Ocean of Storms to seek out secret arcane knowledge, forgotten to the sea itself.
