Blue

A first-genreation immigrant to the surface, the ljudoy known as 'Blue' grew up in the crystalline halls of the Golyan Confederation where she spend her adolesence studying organic chemistry. At the age of 42, Blue's cluster allowed her to join an expedition to the surface and, after that, the young scientst changed her focus to xenosociology and put her every effort into returning to the surface world. Blue quickly became frustrated by the restrictions placed on students, reaching the decade limit on overground expeditions within two years, chafing against the rules prohibiting her from getting closer to organic life forms, and  and seeing none of the danger the team leaders warned her about.
After a frustrating decade, Blue returned to the surface with a plan. After two nights, she left the team' enclosure and ventured into the city alone. From there, she was able to make contact with a group of surface-dwelling ljudoy who introduced her to some of their organic acquaintances. Blue, ignorant of the surface-dwellers' language, customs, and laws, found herself helping her new acquaintances move tools and chemicals cross-country. She saw wonders she'd only ever read about - stars, oceans, and sunrises - and experienced nightmares she'd never even dreamed of - gunfire, gang warfare, addiction, and jail. It was during this period that she started using she/her pronouns, eschewing the it/its that are traditional for ljudoy.
Despite having allied herself with the wrong side of the law, Blue remained upbeat, considering the event an opportunity to study a culture entirely unknowm to her. When she was arrested for gunrunning for a third time, she was sentenced to death, communted to two years service in the Wolfhounds penal battallion.
